2. WHY DOES THERE APPEAR TO BE WHITE PLASTIC ON MY RANGE HOOD?

3. WHY IS THERE BLUE PLASTIC ON MY RANGE HOOD BAFFLE FILTERS?
The blue film around your baffle filters is a plastic layer that is designed to protect your range hood during shipment. This is removed by simply peeling it off of the baffle filter.
4. HOW DO I OPERATE THE BUTTON PANEL?
Click here to view/download the button panel operation instructions.
5. HOW DO I INSTALL MY RANGE HOOD?

6. WHAT IF I NEED TO REPLACE A PART ON MY RANGE HOOD?
No problem! Just contact our Customer Service Department using the contact form below and our team will be happy to send you any replacement parts that you may need (if covered under 3-year warranty).
7. MY RANGE HOOD'S LIGHTS AREN'T WORKING. WHAT DO I DO?
Please fill out the contact form at the bottom of the page, as our Customer Service Department is happy to assist with any range hood troubleshooting or replacement part inquiries.
8. IS DUCTING INCLUDED WITH ZLINE RANGE HOODS?
Yes, a flexible plastic ducting piece is included with each range hood that will stretch out to about 5 ft long. Any additional ducting that is needed for your installation will have to be purchased from a local hardware store.
9. CAN I REPLACE THE INCLUDED DUCTING WITH RIDGED METAL DUCTING?
Yes, the ducting can be replaced with a ridged metal ducting that is purchased from a local hardware store.
10. CAN I VENT MY WALL-MOUNTED RANGE HOOD RIGHT OUT OF THE WALL?
For an efficient pull on your range hood, we recommend keeping the ductwork vertical at least 15" before making your first elbow. Only the following under cabinet range hood series can be converted to rear-ducting: 520, 523, and 527.
11. HOW DO I CONVERT MY ZLINE RANGEHOOD TO DUCTLESS?
Most ZLINE wall-mounted range hoods feature the option to be converted to ductless (or recirculating). If the range hood is convertible, all that is needed for stainless steel models are a set of ZLINE Charcoal Filters. However, for select convertible designer series models, an additional compatible vented crown molding will need to be ordered as well.
Need further assistance with ductless range hood options? Fill out our contact form at the bottom of the page for assistance from the ZLINE Customer Department team.
12. HOW DO I INSTALL MY ZLINE RANGE HOOD ON MY SLOPED OR SLANTED CEILING?
For sloped or slanted ceilings, we recommend for customers to have the chimney-piece custom cut at an angle, or there is the option of building a soffit down from the ceiling in order to mount the range hood on a flat surface.
13. CAN I PAINT OR STAIN MY WOODEN RANGE HOOD?
You may paint your wooden range hood, however, the different areas of the hood are more porous than others so when you stain it, it will look different in some areas and won’t be a smooth stain. This may cause it to look discolored in some parts, so we don't recommend staining our wood hoods.
