Installation & Parts

We recommend our products be installed and serviced by a licensed professional plumber or contractor to avoid any improper installation. Warranty is automatically void if any product has been tampered with, improperly installed, altered, or damaged due to misuse or abuse during installation.

Maintenance:

Your new faucet is crafted to last for many years. Keep it looking new by wiping it down with a soft cloth on a regular basis. Abrasive cleaners, steel wool, and harsh chemicals should be avoided since they will scratch, dull, and/or damage the finish and void the warranty.

Safety Tips:

Use a damp cloth to remove light dirt

Dampen a soft piece of cloth with clean water, and wipe down the surface of the faucet daily to remove dirt before it accumulates. Use a cotton ball sprayed with glass cleaner to clean the base of the finish or any hard-to-reach areas. Make sure the glass cleaner does not contain ammonia or alcohol.

Scrub away hard water stains

Spray a soft cloth with a mixture consisting of equal parts water and vinegar. Use the cloth to scrub away heavy water stains on the nickel finish, or to remove built-up dirt.

Rinse the finish

Rinse the finish with a clean, damp cloth after cleaning it with the glass cleaner or vinegar cleanser. Rinse out the cloth as needed to rid it of the residue of the cleansers, dampening it again to continue rinsing the finish. Dry the finish with a soft dry cloth.

Wax the finish

Return the shine to the finish by spreading a layer of paste wax over the finish. Waxing is required about every four weeks. Spread the wax using a soft dry cloth, working it over the surface of the nickel in a small circular motion. After covering the finish, buff it to a shine using another dry soft cloth.

WARNING

• Avoid bleach.
• Do not use cleaners that contain alcohol or ammonia to clean brushed nickel.
• Abrasives should never be used as they may affect the finish.
• Acidic substances left on the nickel finish for extended periods of time may leave a slight dark mark, but this is easily removed with a chrome polish.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning pads.
• Never leave rubber mats, sponges, towels, or cleaning pads in the sink overnight as this will trap water and could stain and discolor the sink surface.

Warranty

Dakota® warrants that its products will be free of defects and materials in workmanship for a period of one (1) year on all products. Swiss Madison® will replace any product which does not meet this express warranty. Products are not warranted against regular wear and tear, nor are said to be of fitness for a particular use.
Dakota® products are made with quality materials and excellent craftsmanship to provide our customers with beautiful, durable, long-lasting products. Should there be any defects in materials or craftsmanship under regular use that are discovered within the first year of installation, Swiss Madison® will provide replacement parts at no charge, or at its discretion, replace any product or part of the product that is deemed defective, under normal installation, use, service or maintenance. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase will be required in the instance of a claim.
Dakota® recommends all installations of Swiss Madison® products to be conducted by a licensed, professional plumber or contractor. Swiss Madison® will not be held responsible for any damage or product failure due to improper installation, misuse, or failure to utilize a licensed professional for installation. Swiss Madison® is not responsible for any installation or removal costs.

This One Year Limited Warranty Will Be Voided If:

• The installation recommendations were not followed by the installer
• The product has been moved from its initial place of installation
• The product has in any way been modified from its packaged state
• The product has been subjected to improper maintenance, abuse, misuse, excessive use of chemicals, accidents, or other damages, etc.

Dakota® makes no implication that its products comply with any local building or plumbing codes. It is the consumer’s responsibility and obligation to determine local code compliance prior to and during installation. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and first consumer.
Dakota® is not responsible for any special, incidental, or consequential damages associated with the installation, replacement, return or use of the original purchaser’s product. This includes, but is not limited to: freight costs, labor, travel time, lost profit, home damages, and other contingent liabilities and costs (including, without limitation, costs associated with ‘professionals’ or ‘experts’, investigations, audits, analyses, attorneys and any other professional/hired services).
The Swiss Madison® warranty is a comprehensive and explicit limit of liability. All items not disclosed within the warranty are not addressable within the responsibility of Swiss Madison®. Certain states have variances regarding implied warranties; in those situations, we remain fully compliant.

 Shipping & Return Policy

 Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment. 

Order Shipment: 

Dakota® requires a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to be issued before accepting a return or replacement. Once the returned item is counted and inspected at our warehouse, credit or refund will be issued by Swiss Madison®. Returned items are subject to a 25% restocking fee, have a time limitation of 30 days from the original purchase, and return shipping must be pre-paid by the customer if the item was not defective. All returns must be made in original packaging.

Return Policy: 

Returns are permitted within 30 days of receipt of product(s) unopened and undamaged. The customer will be responsible for all shipping costs associated with any returns and will be responsible for up to a 25% restocking fee(s). Blossom Corporation only accepts any returned items that can be resold; refunds will not be issued in full for items damaged in return shipping or returns that are never received, we highly recommend that you insure all return shipments and email us at returns@faucetgennie.com with the shipment tracking number.
